UAE eInvoicing Timeline
The UAE eInvoicing rollout is staged, starting with a pilot programme and moving into phased mandatory implementation.
Pilot phase
- Pilot begins from 1 July 2026 (invitation and written participation agreement required).
Voluntary adoption
- Voluntary adoption is expected to be available from 1 July 2026.
Mandatory adoption (phased)
- Mandatory implementation is planned to begin from 1 January 2027 for higher-revenue businesses.
- A further phase is planned to begin from 1 July 2027 for other businesses.
What you should do now
- Confirm whether your invoicing is mainly B2B/B2G.
- Review whether your accounting/ERP can support structured eInvoice data and credit note workflows.
- Plan time for ASP selection, onboarding, and testing well before your go-live.
